Need For Speed Motor City - Game Info
Infomation for NFS Motor City

Official MC description:

If you've drank deeply from the well of expensive, high-end exotics but still come up thirsty with a raw Need For Speed, you've come to the right place. Hot rodders heaven. Motor City. The place where it all began but never ends. Everybody here starts the same, a pocket full of chump change and a dream of being the kingfish of the gearhead pond. Only a few will ever make it. Someday soon you will have the opportunity to see if you can be one of the few. Buy your all-time favorite piece of Detroit muscle and challenge your fellow citizens to a run on the streets or at the tracks. Cannibalize parts for your juiced jalopy and cruise the hot spots for a retro rummy with an ego bigger than his block and you've just made some quick cash or acquired a new pink slip. Study the Gazette for the latest engine building tips, real deal ads and the scoop on where the action is. Once you feel ready, come on by, give me a try and we'll see what happens. And just to let you know, the license holder is on the rear bumper cause that's all you're gonna see when the flag finally drops.

Messages from the MC lead artist recently left on the NFSCheats messageboard:

A full Motor City PR blitz will be coming out very soon (movies too). BTW, we don't want to steal away any of NFS:PU's thunder now, would we...we ARE after all the same company AND same franchise.... Trust me...NFS:MC is still VERY much alive and kicking. We are currently implementing a HUGE database full of parts, each with it's own individual attributes to effect the various physics models for the cars. Car skins have been honed and tuned like a bugger (5 customs per car plus MULTIPLE factory paint jobs...some cars have over 20 factory combos!). We revamped our car building tool to allow mesh and decal damage as well as some other necessary and clearly visible modifications. We recently discovered a better way to create 'believable' paint chroming and we're sure you'll agree. We should be releasing some more shots (and hopefully some movies) on the EA MC website. All tracks are complete as are the cars. Artwise, we are in a bug-fixing stage. Database and online testing are crucial to make sure that the online element of the game is above all else FUN and complete. The map is going through a rework and will be more striking visually, matching the style of the hubs (with some surprises). The NFS line currently consists of upcoming releases NFS:PU and NFS:MC. Hope this clarifies.

Lead Artist, NFS:MC
